Our members recorded their contributions to the National Stitch Day spent at our many local libraries. Our displays and work were to promote the work we do as members of the Embroiderers' Guild.
One of the oldest visitors was a founder member of the Wolverhampton branch of the Embroiderers' Guild and the youngest was two years old ~ it was the first time she had held a needle (see below)
If members of the public wanted to participate, the theme was based on The Mad Hatter's Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland
We welcomed a lot of visitors who were delighted and intrigued by our vast array of work in a plethora of techniques

We were present at Dudley, Gornal, Sedgley, Penn, Brewood, Kingswinford, Stourbridge, Wordsley and Finchfield libraries.

Special thanks to Margaret Biggs, Louise Bloomer, Pat Withers, Lillian Owen, Carole Bryant and Joy Griffiths for organising the event in co-operation with Cheryl and Sue from the committee of Stourbridge branch of the Embroiderers' Guild.
